On December 8, 2004, Shanghai Xima Footwear Co., Ltd. was officially established in the Kaipeng International Building in Shanghai, with a registered capital of 1 million yuan and an office space of 100 square meters (leased). The company is engaged in the trade of safety protective footwear.
In August 2005, Xima Footwear leased a 1,200-square-meter factory in the Baoshan Economic Development Zone and initially had 28 employees.
In October 2005, the Baoshan factory of Xima Footwear officially began trial operations.
At 11:00 p.m. on November 18, 2005, the first pair of Xima safety shoes rolled off the production line, marking the company’s official transition from a trading enterprise to a manufacturing enterprise.
In January 2006, obtained the National Industrial Product Production License;
In May 2006, became a member company of the Shanghai Labor Protection Industry Association.
In December 2006, Xima safety shoes reached a daily production capacity of 180 pairs.
In April 2007, obtained the Safety Certification for Special Labor Protective Equipment;
In June 2007, more than 90 sets of professional footwear manufacturing equipment were introduced.
In 2007, Xima safety shoes achieved an annual production and sales volume of 150,000 pairs.
In 2008, Xima officially and clearly defined its market development strategy for mid-to-high-end brands in the safety footwear sector.
In May 2008, became a director member of the Shanghai Labor Protection Industry Association.
In June 2008, it obtained ISO9001 international safety system certification.
In January 2009, Nian Xima Footwear purchased a 380-square-meter office building in Shanghai’s central business district (Yunhua Science & Technology Building) and officially moved in that October.
In 2009, Xima Footwear served over 2,000 customers.
In January 2010, Xima Footwear acquired Shanghai Jingyun Paper Co., Ltd. in a 100% equity acquisition and redeveloped its 15-mu property into the Shanghai Xima Footwear production base. In the same year, Jingyun Paper transformed itself into a manufacturer of safety protection equipment, enabling Xima to evolve into a full-range provider of protective gear.
In May 2010, became a standing director unit of the Shanghai Labor Protection Industry Association.
In April 2011, Xima Footwear hosted the 8th National Labor Protection Industry Association Symposium and the National Salon for Outstanding Entrepreneurs in the Labor Protection Industry at the Meilan Lake International Conference Center in Shanghai.
In May 2011, became a vice-president unit of the Shanghai Labor Protection Industry Association.
In June 2011, became a standing director unit of the Health Protection Committee of the China Textile Commerce Association.
In December 2011, Xima Footwear was awarded the title of “Top Ten Professional Shoe Brands” by the China Footwear Alliance at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing.
In September 2012, Xima Footwear’s VIS corporate visual identity system was launched in its entirety.
In September 2012, became a member unit of the China Association for Safety Production.
In June 2012, the company obtained ISO 14001 environmental management system certification and OHSAS 18001 occupational health and safety management system certification, becoming one of the first companies in the industry to achieve certification under all three systems.
In July 2012, designated expert unit of the National Labor Protection Industry Safety Shoes (Boots) Working Committee;
In October 2012, the ERP system was officially launched, making the company the first in the industry to adopt this management system.
In August 2013, it was honored as one of the Top 50 enterprises in China’s labor protection industry.
In January 2013, the company acquired a 2,000-square-meter Class-5A office building in the Shanghai North High-Tech Industrial Park (Zhonghuan Times Square)—a national-level high-tech park—and established the Xima Footwear City Showroom and Sales Service Center.
In May 2013, Xima Footwear officially moved into the Central Plaza in Central. The sales center can accommodate 148 staff members and features a specialized showroom for protective safety shoes, a showroom for safety protection equipment, a multimedia audiovisual training center, and a VIP reception room, among other facilities.
Sales reached 105 million RMB in 2013;
In January 2014, the company acquired 100 mu of land in the Shitan Modern Industrial Park in Chuzhou, Anhui Province, and invested nearly 200 million RMB to build the Xima Safety Protection Equipment Industry Base. Upon completion of the project, annual production of safety shoes is expected to reach 6 million pairs, while the output value of other safety protection equipment could reach 200 million RMB.
In May 2014, the company’s registered capital reached 100 million RMB.
In June 2014, it was once again ranked among the top 50 enterprises in China’s labor protection industry.
In August 2014, construction officially began on the Xima safety protection equipment production base.
In 2014, the company had more than 500 employees and an annual production capacity of over 3 million pairs.
In November 2015, it ranked sixteenth among the top 50 companies in the labor protection industry.
To date, Xima Footwear’s two major production bases in Shanghai and Anhui have both been completed and put into operation, and production is expected to triple.
In November 2017, Shanghai Xima Footwear Co., Ltd. officially changed its name to Shanghai Xima Technology (Group) Co., Ltd.
